Fiddler’s Creek Naples
Canal-facing stucco elevations in Fiddler’s Creek develop mildew faster than other Naples communities. No iron staining issue — biodegradable soft wash chemistry, canal-safe runoff, and a 12–16 month recommended cycle depending on water proximity.

Fiddler’s Creek homes are predominantly stucco and CBS block construction — the same porous exterior surfaces found throughout Naples, but in a community where canal proximity creates elevated ambient moisture conditions for a significant portion of properties. Stucco facing a canal stays damp longer after rain events than stucco on the street side of the same home. That extended moisture period accelerates mold and mildew growth on the canal-facing elevation — which is often also one of the most visible exterior faces from the water.
Fiddler’s Creek uses municipal water supply — not reclaimed irrigation water. Unlike Grey Oaks, there is no elevated iron content in the irrigation system and no rust staining problem on stucco or driveways. The staining you see on Fiddler’s Creek exterior walls is entirely biological — algae and mold from Florida’s humidity and canal moisture — which responds fully and predictably to standard soft wash chemistry.
The community’s canal and lake system is a reason to be thoughtful about cleaning chemistry. Runoff from house washing can reach Fiddler’s Creek drainage and eventually the canal system. We use biodegradable soft wash solutions throughout — they break down to salt, water, and carbon dioxide within hours, carrying no persistent chemical residue into the waterway system.
We assess each elevation separately on Fiddler’s Creek properties. Canal-facing walls typically need extended dwell time — heavier growth, more persistent moisture. Not a uniform spray across all four sides.
