Pelican Bay gutters do not face the same debris accumulation challenge as Grey Oaks — the community has less dense tree canopy and less continuous leaf drop. Annual gutter cleaning in April or May — before the June 1 hurricane season start — is the standard maintenance recommendation for all Pelican Bay properties. The organic debris, pollen, and sediment that accumulates over the previous year is cleared before the season’s first high-volume rainfall event. For seasonal residents, May scheduling before departure ensures the property is protected through the summer storm season.
